Catch the Vision
Within the Discovery Kids ministry, every child receives excellent, age-appropriate attention by adults dedicated to caring and sharing the good news of God’s love and God’s plan for our lives. Creativity abounds from the hands on, interactive curriculum, to the cool dramas and the celebrative worship.
Purpose:
To reach and transform a new generation of children through Christ.
Vision:
To honor God and assist the family by creating a dynamic ministry where children DISCOVER & DEVELOP relationships and a solid spiritual foundation that will lead them into a vibrant faith in Christ, propelling them become influential agents of life-change in our world.
Focus of Transformation:
Three Foundational Truths we aim to help every child to embrace, according to what Jesus modeled in Luke 2:52. These are taught at increasing levels throughout the ministry.
- WISDOM - I can make the wise choices based upon the truth of God’s Word.
- FAITH - I can trust God no matter what, applying faith in God to every situation of life. Desiring for Christ, to be Lord of every area of my life.
- FRIENDSHIP – A life of intentional love and kindness to others, I am blessed to be a blessing. Realizing that life is not about me – but about fulfilling God’s call on my life to ‘GO’!
Teaching Philosophy:
We have a focused approach to teaching that weekly involves creative repetition. Our desire is to take a simple truth and lodge it in the heart of our kids. We want them know that one truth, and what to do with that one truth.
