Every day our society sends mixed messages to men regarding success, relationships, and happiness. At Discovery, we are committed to helping men connect with other men so that together we might pursue our God given design.

“Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” Proverbs 27:17

Discovery Men’s Ministry is designed to help men grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, to equip husbands and fathers to be effective in their homes, and to connect men with other men in order to exert a positive influence in their church, place of work and community.

DMM provides great opportunities for growth, service and just plain fun. Some of the connecting points for men are:

  • Small group Bible studies
  • Fun activities and events
  • Service Projects
  • Sports

We all need brothers we can trust, a group of men who will help us face life together! We all need a place of security, support, growth, and accountability. You will find that at DMM!

Men's Breakfast

Our men’s breakfasts are designed to encourage and challenge men in their walk with Christ and in their relationships in life.  We always have a “mans breakfast” where you can enjoy the fruit of some great chef’s! It’s a fun event and a great time to connect with guys in a relaxed setting. Guest speakers and stories from our own men connect with our own hearts! All breakfast’s are at the beautiful educational building on the Bailey Medical Campus.  Tickets are $7 and may be purchased on the weekends or during the week at the church office. Breakfasts are at 8 a.m. unless otherwise indicated. The dates for 2009 are as follows:

  • Jan. 28
  • March 7
  • June 13
  • Sept. 26
  • Nov. 9.

Authentic Manhood
We are excited to be going through the outstanding series, “The Quest for Authentic Manhood” by Robert Lewis of Men’s Fraternity. This series is being viewed by thousands of men across the country and is greatly helping men understand more of what it means to be a man in today’s culture. The cost of the workbook is $10. We currently offer two sessions for you to choose from. The class is being offered at 6 a.m. on Friday mornings and also Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m.  Both sessions are in the conference room. Men's Retreat
Our annual retreat is May 1-2 at beautiful Camp Egan near Tahlaquah,OK. This is a great time to get away for a brief time and have a lot of fun with the guys. More information will be given closer to this exciting event!
 
Your One Degree
This innovative mentoring program is designed by Dave Jewitt in helping guys maximize the impact of their lives. We have several men trained in this ministry and you can check out more information on Dave’s website, YourOneDegree.com for a more detailed explanation of this ministry. This individual or small group mentoring is offered several times each year.
